Kalomo District, in the Southern Province of Zambia,is located approximately 125 km and 400 km northeast of Livingstone and south of Lusaka respectively. Kalomo district served as the initial administrative capital of North-western Rhodesia between 1902 and 1907.
It is renowned as one of the largest maize producers in Zambia comprising of three Chiefdoms ; Chikanta, Siachitema and Sipatunyana, and two Constituencies ; Kalomo Central and Dundumwezi.
